City Builder: A Guide to Designing Communities is a detailed and comprehensive book on creating communities, from small plantations to large cities. It can be used for most role playing games with a bias towards historically-based or low fantasy settings. While GMs of pseudo-historical games might be in the best position to use the book as-is, every GM interested in community building should get this book. For high-fantasy GMs, the supplement provides tips for making the world seem real and gives a number of interesting locales for inspiration.

I've been eagerly looking forward to GenCon for months now and the day has finally arrived. Tomorrow I will be getting on a plane at some *God-Awful* early hour headed towards Indianapolis. Barring the interference of the gods or some pissed off storm elemental, I will be arriving at the convention center around 5 or 6 pm local time. While I'm there, I'll be keeping you guys up to date with my coolest finds and the latest happenings on our P&PG Facebook Fan Page, so be sure to add us to your Facebook news feed by becoming a fan. And if you're coming to the con, feel free to come and find me. I would enjoy meeting any of my fellow P&PGrs I'll periodically post on our facebook page if I'm going to be hanging out anywhere for a while.
One of the things that makes Dark Sun such an interesting and unique setting is the distinctive array of races that collectively toil and suffer under the tyranny of the world's unforgiving sun. Life is hard on Athas, and the people who dwell here have been made hard by it. Even those more familiar racial archetypes we've become accustomed to in typical fantasy settings have been peeled back and replaced with something darker ... more sinister even.
Even still, none of these come close to being as alien as the enigmatic thri-kreen, a nomadic race of mantis-like hunters that roam the wastes of Athas.

A few weeks back, Loremaster.org had an unfortunate crash while upgrading the site. Since then the site has been in a bit of limbo as our friend Matt James worked on getting the site back up and working. Fortunately, as of today, Loremasteris back in action, and proving that good things come to those that wait, it's got a very nice new theme to boot. If you're a 4e or Forgotten Realms fan, you really should check this site out.
